[excerpted from letter to H. Talley]
I returned to GE after getting discharged and became a Nuke installing the likes of Vermont Yankee, Calvert Cliffs, etc. and as a startup engineer, spent a month at TMI starting 2 days after the accident. I then managed a 30 engineer field service dept for GE installing R.V. Intervals, Coolant Pumps etc. at San Osfrie, St Lucie, WPS-3, Palo Verde, etc and then formed my own business in 1984 which now employs about 20 people.
I too returned to school on the GI Bill and finished my BS in Engineering and got an MBA. I quit GE in '74 to spend the summer sailing in Newfoundland (it was like returning to winter - won't do it again) and married my summer date (Lauren) and we have three daughters, the first of which is a freshman in College.
Thinking back to the summer o '69 reminds me of the introduction of A Tale of Two Cities (being an English major [reformed] remember - best of time, worst....?) [snip] I do value that copy of a log entry which I sent to Ken in '74 and hereby offer my support of your efforts.
