I have talked to a couple of you over the years, but like so many other things in life, time has taken a toll and I had lost touch with many of you. It was great hear to from Howard, he had tracked me down through my Mom, who still lives in the old place from where I started this Navy adventure in 1967. I pay my bills on time, so Mom was not reluctant to give Howard my home phone number. I talked with him that very night, and the quest began to find as many of us as possible.
What a great wave of memories this has brought back, and again, due to the passing of time most of the memories are pleasant.
Now for a little about me. After leaving TI in September, Duncan Smith and I drove home to Illinois, via a short stop in Idaho Falls to say goodbye to some of our fellow Nucs.
I returned home to my Parent's house, where I started work for AT&T in October of 69. I've been with AT&T ever since in a variety of positions in Sales, Marketing, Law, and currently at AT& T Bell Laboratories (now Lucent Technologies) in the wireless business.
I went to school at night, attending Northern Illinois University for my undergraduate degree, and graduate school at Loyola University. I was fortunate that AT&T sent me to MIT for a summer program a number of years ago.
In 1972 I married my wife Jan, and we are going to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversay next year. Our son Brian attends the University of Illinois, where he is in his Sophomore year majoring in Computer Science.
I think the reunion is a great idea, I'm looking forward to catching up on old times, and renewing old acquaintances. I travel a lot in my job, so maybe I'll have the opportunity to see a few of you before our reunion, and in the meanwhile if you are in the Chicago area, even if it is only to change planes at O'Hare give me a call.
