I went back to Idaho and made it through prototype. (2nd hardest thing
I ever did). Made four patrols on the U.S.S. Thomas Jefferson, SSBN 618
Gold Crew Made E-6. Got out January 1973.
Worked for Otis Elevator for 22 years starting as an electronics technican
and finishing as senior Facilities Engineer.
Got a BGS from Indiana University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Quit Otis on February 15, 1995 and hiked the entire Appalachian Trail. Started
on March 1 and finished on October 11, 1995. (Hardest thing I ever did).
Currently teaching Industrial Maintenance Technology at Ivy Tech State
College in Bloomington. Pay sucks, but the time off has potential.
Was on an episode of "Rescue 911" several years ago, about a
cave rescue that I directed in Spring Mill State Park in Indiana. I was
National Cave Rescue Coordinator for the National Speleological Society
from 1985 through 1991.
Divorced from Vickie in 1976. Two kids. Daughter Kerri, 25, married with
I child, Kelsey Lynn Jean, 6 years old. Son Christopher, 23, in Navy
on U.S.S. Klakring FFG-42 as Electroncis
Warfare Technican.
Life is great. looking forward to a reunion.
